Division III Thesis Project: The Culture and Science of Fishing
Hampshire College takes an alternative approach to higher education. In a nutshell, that means no grades, no GPAs, and no exams. Instead, students are given written narrative evaluations of coursework, design their own majors, and complete a one-year thesis project to graduate. This project, aka a Division III, is what I’m currently beginning.
I plan to document the culture and science of fishing, in all its gore and glory, through writing, photography, and a mixed media gallery presentation.
